Brittany is located in the north west of France and is considered to be one of the most architecturally rich areas in the country. The Breton coast contributes to the popularity of the region, which is second only to the Cote d'Azur in terms of the popularity of its coast during the summer months. House prices in Brittany are similar to those of Normandy and are amongst the cheapest in France.

Pays-de-la-Loire (Loire Valley)

The Pays-de-la-Loire region consists of a 300 kilometre stretch of Atlantic coastline and reaches inland past the Loire River. It has traditionally been a popular haunt for the French aristocracy and the countryside is littered with elegant châteaux’s, many of which are open to the public. The region is also famous for the "Le Mans" annual automobile race and a fantastic range of fine wines.


The Dordogne is located in the south west of France has a temperate climate and hot and dry summer months. Similarly to the Loire Valley, the region can boast a number of historic chateaux and castles, with many dated back as far as the 13th century. The area is particularly popular with English expatriates and it is as common to hear the English language being spoken in the area as French.
